This is my 1980 Honda CG125 (K1?). Such an iconic bike, I had to have one. This one is quite shabby, but I think it's still solid. Another eBay purchase.
The seller worked quite close to me and had a van, so delivered it for a small charge. I initially thought the tank was purple, but it was originally metallic red. It's missing one of the plastic side covers. This early model of the CG125 is the basis for the current model sold in Malaysia, so I can get side panels for it, but they might have the wrong badges.
The exhaust has been cut down, which is a shame since it looks like it was still in good condition (and was an OEM one).
It's been a while since it was on the road.
It's quite miley too. An engine rebuild on these is very simple. I'm most likely going to convert it to 12v and CDI ignition too, so an engine rebuilt isn't a problem. If I can get the parts, I would like to try a 6-speed conversion too from the XL185S.
The bike needs a rewire too, as there was bits of domestic wiring spliced into the harness. As part of the 12v and CDI conversion I'd probably just use the harness from a later bike that has those features anyway.
